Lion rock (Sigiriya)

 The lion rock is UNESCO listed place. Sigiriya  (Lion rock) is place which builded by king Kshshapa (AD 477 - 495). The Sigiriya nearly 180m high. It is rock mountain. The king Kashhsapa used this place ass place and main city.

History

The king Kashshapa control this area in AD 477 - 495 was build this palace using this rock mountain Sinhagiri. His father is Dhathusena and Brother is Moggallana. The king Kashshapa was tried to get the kingdom from father neglecting his elder brothe Moggallana. Moggalna got life treat from Kashshapa. So he leaved Ceylon and moved to South india. How ever King Kashhspa got the Kingdom. He arrested his father King Dhathusena in prison. Then build this Lion Rock for his place as well as the secure place from his elder brothe Moggallana. Thats why there are some defence structurs and place structures situated at Lion rock. But the King Moggallana come again with bigh army and got the kingdom. King Kashshapa leave to Anuradhapura city in Sri Lanka to save his life.

Architectural value
There are Lion structure in this that's why this place named Lion rock. There is lion paw remaining this structure.

There are several ponds in top of the rock. The mechanism of get water to top of the rock is unknown.

The place situated at the top of the rock. 
Not only Lion Rock he build great city around the Lion rock. It has flower gardens, Parks, Roads. Ha had a king's park it decorated with pons and hydraulic decorations. Present time also can see these decorations working in the park.

There are frescoes in the rock western side. The Dr.Senarath Paranawitharana said that these frescoes show the cultural value in those days.

The Mirror wall is the wall used by the ancient visitors to explant their expressions after the visiting the Lion Rock. Many Local visitors write their ideas and emotions felt after visited the Lion rock. Those notes in Sinhala and Sanskrutha mixed languages.

The travelers can use bus to travel Colombo to Dabulla. Then may use another vehicle to travel Lion rock.

Use the train as reach to Lion rock is not practicable.

Sembuwatta lake

 The Sembuwatta lake is one of the best tourism attractive place in Sri Lanka. The reson for that is the beautiful of the lake and surrounding nature. This lake rounded with mountains (Small). Some mountain are covered with tea states, some are covered with Pinus trees.

This lake belongs to the plantation state of Elkaduwa. The plantation state superintendent is the authorized officer for control and mage the lake  and plantations.

 The Nine arch bridge Sri Lanka is one of the most attractive place in Sri Lanka. The tourists come from forging countries may definitely visit this place. This place be the best place among the Sri lankan tourism places for some travelers. This bridge is railway bridge build for transport the trains.

Who is made this bridge?

According to the historical evidence this bridge was made by P.M Appuhami. He is one of the local Sinhala engineer. But this bridge build by the supervision of the British engineers in that era(1919).

This railway bridge situated at Between  Demodara and Ella railway station.

This place situated in upcountry therefore travelers should get transport to Colombo to Ella using road transportation.

If you use public transport buses may good to use CTB buses (Red color government buses) because some private buses  get high speed and high cost for tickets.

Tourist can see this bridge using trains as well.

If you use the train for travel you may good to use the 2nd and 1st classes for book the seat of the train the reason for that is many of travelers get trouble like not reserving seats, vendors and drags addicted people troubles like that. ( The main reason for get 3rd class tickets is low cost).
